The 2024 Tony Awards are set to take place on Sunday at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Ariana DeBose, an Oscar and Tony award winner, will be returning to host the telecast for the third time. Additionally, “Pose” star Billy Porter is slated to receive the 2024 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award for his activism in the LGBTQ+ communities. Heading into the ceremony, Alicia Keys’ ambitious musical “Hell’s Kitchen” and the play “Stereophonic” led with 13 nominations each. Cast members from these productions, as well as from “The Outsiders,” “Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club,” “The Who’s Tommy,” “Water for Elephants,” and the Hillary Clinton-produced “Suffs,” among others, are set to perform during the ceremony. The Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT and will also stream on Paramount+ in the US.
