Hollywood’s Biggest Night: The 76th Emmy Awards Set to Showcase Stellar Series and Historic Hosts!

Upcoming 76th Emmy Awards Set for Sunday

The highly anticipated 76th Emmy Awards, celebrating the best in television, are scheduled to take place on Sunday.

Leading the nominations this year is FX’s hit series “The Bear,” which has garnered a record-breaking 23 nominations, surpassing the previous comedy record of 22 held by NBC’s “30 Rock” since 2009.

In the drama category, “Shōgun” has emerged as a front-runner with 25 nominations, solidifying its position as a strong contender.

A special highlight of this year’s ceremony will be the hosting duo of Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, who are making history as the first father-son pair to host the Emmy Awards. The duo previously charmed audiences together in the Emmy-winning comedy “Schitt’s Creek.”

“For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough,” Eugene and Dan Levy stated. “We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all.”

While previous favorites like “Succession” and “Ted Lasso” will not be in competition this year, other notable shows such as “The Crown,” “The Morning Show,” and “Only Murders in the Building” continue to receive multiple nominations, reflecting their status as current “legacy shows.”

“Shōgun” is expected to make a significant impact at the awards, having already secured 14 Emmys in technical and creative categories during the Creative Arts Emmys.

The 76th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, September 15, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC, with the option to stream the ceremony on Hulu the following day.
