Former President Trump spreads false claims at Wisconsin rally, including rewriting state’s history and making baseless accusations

Former President Donald Trump made multiple false claims at his campaign rally in Racine, Wisconsin. During the event, he made two significant attempts to rewrite Wisconsin history. Trump falsely claimed that he won Wisconsin in the 2020 presidential election when in reality, he lost the state by 20,682 votes. He also claimed that he saved the city of Kenosha from destruction in 2020 when in fact, it was Governor Tony Evers who deployed the Wisconsin National Guard during the rioting in Kenosha.

Facts First: Trump’s claims that Evers “wouldn’t move” and that he “saved Kenosha” are false. Evers had already deployed the National Guard before Trump publicly demanded that action be taken. This information was corroborated by public evidence provided by the governor’s office.

Trump also made a number of other false claims during the rally, including stating that the world was at peace when he was president in 2020, which is not true as there were numerous ongoing armed conflicts. He also falsely claimed that Democrats rigged the 2020 election and that people’s votes tend to disappear after they are cast, among other inaccuracies.

Despite Trump’s attempts to rewrite history and spread misinformation, the facts remain unchanged. His false claims continue to be debunked by fact-checkers and public evidence.
