In breaking news, the final episodes of the hit series “Yellowstone” are approaching. The show, currently filming in Montana, is set to make its highly anticipated return on Nov. 10, as announced by Paramount+ on Thursday.
“Yellowstone” follows the story of the Dutton family and their expansive cattle ranch. The upcoming episodes are expected to delve into “shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect” as the ranch clashes with neighboring entities such as a growing town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.
Created by Taylor Sheridan, known for his work on “Hell or High Water” and “Sicario,” the show has previously starred Kevin Costner as family patriarch John Dutton. However, Costner will not be returning for the final season due to reported scheduling conflicts.
In an interview with Howard Stern, Costner confirmed his absence from the show, stating, “I’m not in it. I was in it for five years…I love the show. I supported it. I’d like to go forward, but it has to be under a different set of circumstances.”
Despite his departure, Costner revealed that he has been in communication with Sheridan but currently sees no way forward for them to collaborate again. “We both said what was important to us, and it doesn’t seem like we can [work things out],” Costner explained.
