Biden Campaign Launches Powerful TV Ad Slamming Trump on Abortion Rights Ahead of First Presidential Debate

In a new TV ad released by the Biden campaign, former President Donald Trump is being criticized for his stance on abortion rights. The ad features a testimonial from Kaitlyn Joshua, a Louisiana woman who shares her experience of being denied care during a miscarriage, blaming Trump for overturning Roe v. Wade.

Joshua accuses Trump of being a convicted felon and putting women and doctors at risk, while expressing her support for President Biden. The ad is part of a $50 million ad push and will run in battleground states to rally young and female voters.

President Biden has spoken out against Trump’s Supreme Court appointments that have led to restrictions on abortion access. Biden warns of the consequences of Trump’s policies and vows to protect reproductive rights.

The Biden campaign is gearing up for a major Supreme Court decision on emergency abortion access, while also preparing for the presidential debate with Trump. Biden’s advisers see reproductive rights as a key issue heading into the election.

Ahead of the debate, Biden is holding mock debates at Camp David to prepare to face off against Trump. The campaign is hosting events across the country to mark the anniversary of the Dobbs decision. First lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are also attending events in support of Biden’s campaign.

CNN’s Michael Williams contributed to this report.
