The actor died “peacefully at his home in California.” Cobbs, known for his roles in “Demolition Man,” “That Thing You Do!” and “Air Bud,” celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by loved ones just recently.

With a career spanning five decades, Cobbs had nearly 200 film and TV credits, appearing in iconic titles such as “Demolition Man” and “That Thing You Do!” His career began in the mid-1970s on Broadway before transitioning to TV shows like “Good Times,” “The Equalizer,” and “Sesame Street.”

In the 1990s, Cobbs continued to make a mark in Hollywood, appearing in films like “The Bodyguard,” “Demolition Man,” and “That Thing You Do!” He also had notable roles in TV shows like “ER,” “The Sopranos,” and “The West Wing.”

Cobbs’ passion for acting never waned, as he continued to work on projects like “Dino Dana” and “Incandescent Love” in recent years. His dedication to his craft was evident in his work, as he once said in an interview, “I enjoy what I do, I really enjoy it.”
