In a thrilling announcement during the Formula 1 British Grand Prix on July 7, Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt was revealed to be making a return to the race track in the upcoming film “F1.”
The teaser for the film showcases Pitt as a former race car driver who is determined to get back on the circuit. In the movie, he joins the fictional team APXGP to compete against the top contenders in Formula 1.
One poignant scene in the trailer shows Pitt discussing the strategy with a woman who is helping design his dream car. He emphasizes the importance of focusing on the turns rather than straightaways to gain the upper hand against powerhouse teams like Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes.
When questioned about the safety of the car design, Pitt’s character responds with a defiant attitude, saying, “Who said anything about safe?”
The teaser also features Damson Idris as Pitt’s teammate, along with an ensemble cast that includes Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, and Lewis Hamilton as a producer.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for his work on “Top Gun: Maverick,” “F1” is set to hit theaters on June 27, 2025, as a collaboration between Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. Pictures.
This high-octane movie promises to capture the thrill and intensity of Formula 1 racing, with real teams and drivers making appearances alongside the star-studded cast. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project, brought to you by Warner Bros. Discovery.
