Renowned actor Spencer Milligan, known for his role as Rick Marshall in the 1970s children’s TV show “Land of the Lost,” has passed away at the age of 86.

Milligan, born on September 10, 1937, in Oak Park, Illinois, breathed his last on April 18, according to an obituary on the website of a funeral home in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, where he resided.

Starting his acting career in Illinois, Milligan later relocated to California, where he remained active from the 1970s to the mid-1990s.

During this period, he portrayed the iconic character Rick Marshall in 30 episodes of “Land of the Lost” from 1974 to 1975.

In the show, Milligan’s character served as a devoted father to Will Marshall, played by Wesley Eure, and Holly Marshall, played by Kathy Coleman, as the family navigated a world filled with dinosaurs and other mysterious creatures.

Beyond “Land of the Lost,” Milligan made guest appearances on various TV shows and movies of that era, including “The Bionic Woman,” “The Dukes of Hazzard,” and “Police Squad.”

Fond of spending summers in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Milligan met his wife Kerry in the city in 1991, tying the knot in 2002.

Eure and Coleman, Milligan’s former co-stars on “Land of the Lost,” paid homage to their late friend in a heartfelt video shared on Facebook.

“We were all best friends,” remarked Eure, while Coleman expressed, “He was a great man. He will be missed.”
