Al Hilal Targets RB Leipzig’s Sesko in Bold Transfer Move After Osimhen Snub!

    ### Al Hilal Keen on Sesko

Recently, reports from *The Sun* have indicated that Al Hilal, the renowned club from the Saudi Pro League, is actively pursuing two key targets who are currently linked with Manchester United. This comes in the wake of their failed attempts to acquire Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker who has been a focal point in transfer discussions. Al Hilal is now reportedly turning its eyes towards RB Leipzig’s star, Benjamin Sesko, as well as Crystal Palace’s forward, Jean-Philippe Mateta, to bolster their attacking options.

According to the newspaper, Al Hilal is prepared to present an enticing offer to RB Leipzig to secure the services of Benjamin Sesko, a tall striker standing at 6 feet 5 inches. Sesko’s name has been frequently mentioned in the transfer market, especially with Manchester United showing an interest in him this summer. Al Hilal is currently desperate for a striker, having been rebuffed twice by Osimhen, who is now likely to stay with his current club in Turkey.

In addition to Sesko, Al Hilal has also placed Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace on their short list. Mateta is reported to be seeking a new deal quietly behind the scenes, which may suggest his interest in a transition. Another name being circulated in the transfer discussions is Moise Kean of Fiorentina, who had an impressive season scoring 25 goals across all competitions. This trio of targets reflects the ambition of Al Hilal as they aim to enhance their squad during this transfer window.

    ### Tottenham Must Pay Up for Wissa

Another club making headlines in the transfer market is Tottenham Hotspur, who are eyeing a reunion between their new manager, Thomas Frank, and Brentford’s forward Yoane Wissa. However, Brentford is poised to demand around £50 million for the 28-year-old striker, a figure that may challenge Spurs given Wissa’s age.

*Evening Standard* reports that Tottenham made initial inquiries about Wissa earlier in the summer, only to be informed that a fee of no less than £50 million would be necessary for the transfer to take place. There hasn’t been any contact between the two clubs in recent weeks, indicating that Spurs are deliberating whether to proceed with the acquisition of the Democratic Republic of Congo international, who will turn 29 in September. Should Tottenham decide to bid for Wissa, it could potentially hinder Manchester United’s pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo, another Brentford forward who remains on United’s radar.

    ### United Set New Mbeumo Deadline

In a parallel narrative, Manchester United is actively aiming to secure Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, despite encountering challenges regarding the transfer fee. *The Daily Star* has reported that United has established a deadline for the acquisition to be completed before the squad departs for their upcoming pre-season tour. Initially, the club had hoped to sign Mbeumo before pre-season training commenced, but they missed that window.

Currently, a group of fifteen players has already returned to training at Carrington, with only Diego Leon and Matheus Cunha being recent additions to the squad. Having missed their pre-season deadline, United is now keen to finalize the signing of the ex-Troyes player before their pre-season trip to the United States, where they are set to face West Ham United in their first match on July 27.

    ### Leeds Look for Longstaff Alternatives

Finally, Leeds United has also been active in the transfer market, looking for alternatives after a failed attempt to sign Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff. The Athletic reports that Leeds made a bid of £12 million but it was turned down. Now, they are exploring other options, including Anton Stach, particularly after losing out on two other potential targets to Sunderland.

Leeds expressed interest in Longstaff early in June and made multiple bids throughout the month, but the latest offer of £10 million plus £2 million in add-ons was also rejected. Nevertheless, Longstaff himself is inclined towards a move to Elland Road, with personal terms reportedly already established. However, the situation seems complicated due to Newcastle’s reluctance to accept any of the bids.

As Leeds continues their search for midfield reinforcements, they are eyeing Stach from TSG Hoffenheim, alongside other names like Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki, who were recently signed by Sunderland. This reflects Leeds’ proactive approach as they prepare for the new Premier League season ahead.
