In a recent interview with GQ, George Clooney expressed his annoyance with director Quentin Tarantino, stating, “Quentin said some s—t about me recently, so I’m a little irritated by him.” Clooney’s frustration arose from Tarantino’s comments in a conversation with Deadline columnist Baz Bamigboye at the Cannes Film Festival, where Tarantino questioned Clooney’s status as a movie star, asking when his last hit that drew an audience was.
Clooney, who has shifted towards producing and directing projects in recent years, explained that his return to acting with films like “Wolfs” and an upcoming movie directed by Noah Baumbach, is due to a desire to focus on acting now that his children are older. Clooney shares seven-year-old twins with his wife, Amal Clooney. Despite the tension with Tarantino, Clooney emphasized the positive experiences of working with top filmmakers in Hollywood, including Tarantino, stating, “But no, look, we’re really lucky we got to work with these great directors.”
