Love in the Bunker: California Golf Course Takes Aim at Cheating Couples in Wild PSA!

At Skylinks at Buchanan Fields, a public 9-hole golf course in East Bay, California, a recent scandal has taken the spot from a serene golfing hub to a hub of gossip and intrigue. The unexpected drama did not arise from the typical sporting mishaps associated with golf, such as crooked putts or trapped balls in bunkers. Instead, it stems from an unusual rendezvous occurring regularly in the obscure corner of the parking lot—a site that has been transformed into the epicenter of a scandal involving two parked cars and an alleged illicit affair.

In dramatic fashion, Skylinks took to social media to address the situation, delivering a tongue-in-cheek public service announcement that garnered significant attention. The message, aimed at a married woman who is reported to have been meeting with a man in the parking lot, was candidly articulated: “To the late 30’s married wife in the black car who’s having a secret affair and with the guy in the smaller silver car… PLEASE STOP.” This post not only went viral, but it also sparked waves of curiosity and speculation across various social media platforms.

Kiwi, the owner of Skylinks and a New Zealand native, confirmed that this viral post was not a mere marketing stunt but rather a legitimate reaction to the increasingly disruptive circus that the parking lot rendezvous had become. He reflected on the family-friendly atmosphere they aim to maintain at the golf course, expressing, “We’re a small, community course in Concord—not a drive-thru hookup spot for cheaters.” To further underline the seriousness of the situation, Kiwi quipped about the inappropriate nature of such activities at a family-oriented venue, urging the individuals involved to relocate their meetings to a nearby hotel just a short distance away.

The staff at Skylinks, including the maintenance crew that commenced work at early hours, began noticing a pattern of activity over the course of two months leading up to the announcement. The same vehicles would consistently appear in the same obscure lot, which is rarely used by genuine golf players. Kiwi described how the staff initially turned the sightings into a running joke, remarking on the peculiarities of the situation, until it transitioned into a legitimate concern for the sanctity of their family space. The presence of young children playing nearby added to the discomfort surrounding the unfolding drama.

Upon posting the announcement, the response from the community was overwhelming and mixed. While many were entertained, others were disturbed by the gossip surrounding the affair. Messages flooded in from various individuals, some even claiming connections to the parties involved, culminating in Kiwi humorously recalling a frantic inquiry from a man whose wife might have a matching car. He made it clear, however, that the intention behind the post was not to destroy lives but simply to reclaim their space for community purposes.

Despite the increasing notoriety generated by this event, Kiwi assured that any footage related to the incidents would remain private. He likened their responsibility as business operators to that of a family-run establishment, emphasizing that they wish to maintain their reputation intact. Skylinks has transformed significantly under Kiwi’s ownership, having been nearly shut down before he revitalized it to become a thriving community hub.

Kiwi, who initially discovered his love for golf upon learning the sport at Skylinks, intends to preserve the course’s friendly and approachable atmosphere. While the comedic undertones of his statements regarding the affair often evoke laughter, the underlying message remains quite clear: those seeking to engage in clandestine encounters should seek alternative venues. The advent of the viral incident, while unexpected, has certainly placed Skylinks back on the map, although the owner hopes for a swift return to the peaceful golfing environment that the community cherishes.
