Zada had previously leveraged social media to promote his smuggling services, sometimes showcasing videos of migrants expressing gratitude for his assistance. In a particularly notable incident, a video dated 2021 showed Zada being celebrated at a party in Iraq, where Kurdish musicians referred to him as “the best smuggler.”
