Pod Save America Co-Hosts Fire Back at Biden Campaign Staffers calling for President to Step Down

In a fiery response, two co-hosts of the “Pod Save America” podcast lashed out at Biden campaign staffers who have dismissed their calls for the president to consider stepping down from the Democratic ticket.

During the latest episode released on Friday, Dan Pfeiffer expressed his frustration, stating, “The incompetence of spending your time fighting ‘Pod Save America,’ David Axelrod, George Clooney, and the most popular figure in the Democratic Party at a time when you were struggling with Black voters is f**king insane.”

The Democratic infighting intensified following the president’s disastrous debate performance in June, leading to a flurry of demands for Biden to withdraw. A New York Times report described Biden’s advisers as dismissing the “Pod Save America” co-hosts as “operatives who worked for a cerebral, cool-guy president and never understood the world according to the scrappy kid from Scranton.”

In response, Jon Favreau questioned why Biden’s team was focusing on them instead of defeating Donald Trump or helping their candidate stay on message. Despite mounting pressure from House Democrats, a Democratic senator, and anxious donors withholding contributions, Biden remains determined to continue his reelection bid.

During a news conference, Biden reassured supporters of his commitment, stating, “I’m determined on running, but I think it’s important that I allay fears by letting them see me out there.”
