In a surprising turn of events, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Super Bowl embrace earlier this year has inspired a holiday movie set to start production next month. The Hallmark Channel, along with the NFL, Skydance Sports, and the Kansas City Chiefs, announced their collaboration on “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.”
The movie will follow Alana Higman (Hunter King), a Kansas City Chiefs superfan vying for the team’s “Fan of the Year” contest. As she is evaluated by the team’s director of fan engagement, Derrick (Tyler Hynes), a romance begins to blossom between them.
Filming will take place entirely in Kansas City, including at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the team’s home turf. This movie pays homage to the Chiefs’ hometown and their passionate fanbase.
Swift and Kelce’s own relationship has been a public spectacle, with the couple frequently supporting each other at various events. Recently, Kelce joined Swift on stage at her concert in London, following their “Instagram official” announcement.
While the movie’s plot is not directly based on their romance, the timing and Chiefs’ involvement suggest a possible connection. It remains unclear if Swift and Kelce are directly involved in the project, but CNN has reached out to their representatives for comment.
With the holiday season fast approaching, “Holiday Touchdown” is poised to be a heartwarming tribute to Chiefs fans everywhere.
