Tyson Fury Set for Epic Comeback in 2026 as Alalshikh Vows to Bring Him Back to the Ring!

Turki Alalshikh, the prominent chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, remains optimistic regarding the professional boxing career of Tyson Fury, predicting that the Manchester-born fighter will grace the ring again in 2026. This statement comes on the heels of Fury’s recent defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, a loss that marked the second in a career filled with remarkable accomplishments. With both of Fury’s setbacks originating from the formidable fists of the undisputed Ukrainian heavyweight champion, many have begun speculating about the future of Fury’s boxing endeavors.

Alalshikh, in a confident tone, outlined his discussions with Fury, insisting, “I have his word to have him in Riyadh Season in 2026.” His remarks hinted at the excitement surrounding the anticipated event, suggesting an opportunity that both fighters could capitalize on. The terminology employed during their earlier face-offs, including Fury’s recurrent references to Usyk as a “rabbit,” paints a vivid picture of the intense rivalry that characterized their matchups. This inflammatory language has only heightened anticipation for any future encounters.

Apart from Usyk, another name often discussed in connection with Fury is Anthony Joshua, a fellow heavyweight who boasts a gold medal from the London 2012 Olympics and has long been regarded as a potential opponent for Fury. Joshua, at 35 years old, reiterated his willingness to step into the ring with Fury, stating that he would await his fellow Brit’s readiness for a showdown. This interest in a clash between the two British titans ignites debate about the potential for a significant domestic rivalry that could capture global attention.

Fury’s most recent loss to Usyk took place in December in Saudi Arabia, where boxing events have increasingly found a home in the Kingdom Arena, drawing considerable crowds and elevating the sport’s profile within the region. Following this bout, Fury hinted at retirement through social media, expressing gratitude to his supporters while suggesting he might have reached the pinnacle of his boxing journey. He reflected, “[I’ve] been very blessed in my life and career [and] achieved the utmost in boxing; was an epic journey along the way,” which left fans guessing about his future in the sport.

Retirement claims are not new for Fury, who has made similar proclamations in the past, only to find himself drawn back into competition. In a recent commentary during an event in Turkey, he left a smidgeon of hope that he could stage a comeback, noting, “I might come back.” His comments underscored a rekindled appreciation for the sport with the line, “It’s good to be back in the boxing game,” implying that the competitive fire within him has not been completely extinguished.

Fury humorously described himself as a “cash cow,” acknowledging the lucrative nature of his boxing pedigree and the desire from others to challenge him. However, he is clear about his ambitions, stating that if he were to return, he would effortlessly outclass opponents like Daniel Dubois. He asserted, “I would box his ears off. He wouldn’t land a glove on me. It would be a one-sided beat down.”

However, the fight that seems to dominate Fury’s thoughts remains another chance to face Oleksandr Usyk. Eager for revenge, he expressed a strong desire for this bout to take place in the UK, emphasizing that he wants to feel he has a legitimate opportunity to reclaim his titles. He stated, “That’s all I want; I want a fair shout,” indicating his dissatisfaction with their previous encounters.

Moreover, he noted that if a rematch with Usyk were not feasible, a clash with Anthony Joshua could still fulfill a long-awaited dream and generate tremendous revenue, as well as break attendance records at iconic venues such as Wembley Stadium. With anticipation for both potential matchups growing, boxing fans worldwide will remain alert for developments as the sport’s future unfolds in exciting ways. Streaming services like TNT Sports and discovery+ provide fans with a front-row seat to all upcoming boxing action, ensuring they don’t miss a moment of the thrilling developments ahead.
